CA Parole Board

The Board is made up of 12 Governor Appointed Commissioners who are responsible for determining the suitability of a life sentenced inmate to be released back into society.

Victim participation in the parole hearing process is very important. Our affiliate organization, the iCAN Foundation, has produced a booklet to help victims prepare to attend parole hearings. Click HERE to download a copy of "A Victims Guide to the Parole Hearing Process".
The booklet is a PDF file. If you are unable to download the booklet, click HERE to download Adobe Acrobat Reader for free, which will allow you to view the booklet.
