The Crime Victims Action Alliance (CVAA) is a non-profit organization that promotes victims' rights and public safety. CVAA was founded in 1992 to be a voice for victims in the state’s capital.  Up until that time, victims did not have consistent representation at legislative hearings; decisions regarding victim services, notification, restitution, etc. were being made for victims by people who had never been victimized and did not understand victims' needs.  CVAA helped to change the level of victim participation in policy making and now works with policy makers at every level of government - aggressively advocating for better laws, regulations and policies that enhance victims' rights and services.
